Low-speed bottling line at Simei 2026
The integration that simplifies low-speed bottling.
For many small and medium-sized wineries, investing in a bottling line means finding the right balance between product quality, automation, available space, and ease of operation. In this context, the challenge is not only selecting high-performing individual machines, but also building an integrated process in which every stage communicates seamlessly with the next, ensuring operational continuity and long-term reliability.
It is from this need that Omnia Technologies’ complete low-speed bottling line was born: an integrated solution that brings together the expertise and technologies of several Group brands to cover the entire packaging process, from empty bottle feeding through to final palletizing.
The line is a tangible expression of the Omnia Technologies One-Stop-Shop model, providing wineries with a single point of contact for the design, supply, installation, and service of a complete plant. The integration of Omnia Technologies brands enables complementary technologies to be combined into a coordinated solution designed to ensure product quality, ease of management, and operational continuity.
The line begins with Baby Depal, APE’s semi-automatic depalletizing solution for empty bottles. The system transfers entire layers of bottles from the pallet to the line with just a few commands, significantly reducing operator effort while ensuring a consistent supply to the plant. Thanks to Industry 4.0 readiness, remote assistance capabilities, and quick format changeovers, Baby Depal represents the first step toward a more efficient and organized bottling process.
At the heart of the line is Atlas, the Bertolaso monoblock that integrates rinsing, filling, and capping into a single compact machine. Designed for capacities of up to 3,000 bottles per hour, Atlas reduces footprint requirements and simplifies day-to-day line management. Dedicated oxygen protection technologies, the ability to handle different closure types, and advanced cleaning and sanitation systems help preserve wine quality during the most critical packaging stages.
Supporting the monoblock is Win Guard C-E by Win&tech, which combines final wine microfiltration with an automatic CIP system. The unit ensures microbiological stabilization of the product before bottling, manages integrity testing of filter cartridges, and centralizes cleaning and sanitation operations. The automated management of filtration, nitrogen, and CIP cycles helps make the process more controlled, efficient, and sustainable.
The next stage is entrusted to UniCap 35 by Nortan, a flexible capsule application platform capable of handling heat-shrink capsules, polylaminate, tin, aluminum, and sparkling wine capsules. Thanks to the machine’s configurable design, the line can easily adapt to different wine and packaging formats without compromising ease of operation or reliability.
For secondary packaging, EPIC comes into play, APE’s monoblock solution integrating case forming, case packing, and case closing. Within a compact footprint, the machine automates operations that are typically distributed across multiple units, helping reduce plant complexity while increasing productivity. The various configurations available allow the system to meet the needs of wineries and beverage producers working with different packaging formats.
The line concludes with PAL C4, the automatic palletizer that arranges cases onto pallets using a four-axis Cartesian robot. Precision, flexibility, and the ability to create customized palletizing patterns ensure load stability, improved logistics management, and clear visibility of batch labels.
More than just a sequence of machines, the complete low-speed bottling line represents an integrated vision of bottling. Each technology has been developed to work seamlessly with the others, with the aim of providing wineries with a turnkey solution that combines wine quality, operational efficiency, and ease of management. It is a concrete expression of the Omnia Technologies approach: leveraging the expertise of each Group brand to build a complete, reliable system designed around the real needs of producers.
