Omnia Technologies, a leading platform in automation and bottling technologies for the beverage and pharmaceutical sectors, has agreed to acquire Pharmagel, Meccanica Italiana and E4i. These three transactions will broaden the group’s offering along the entire value chain – from processing to packaging – and further strengthen its international presence.

Pharmagel – Established in 1962 in Lodi (Italy), Pharmagel is a technology partner with global experience in the design and production of softgel encapsulation plants for the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical sectors. Since 2018, Pharmagel has operated in its modern plant in San Colombano al Lambro (Milan, Italy). The addition of Pharmagel will enable Omnia Technologies to enrich its Life Sciences offering, combining softgel technology with the group’s existing expertise in other solid oral forms.

Meccanica Italiana – Based near Treviso (Italy), Meccanica Italiana specialises in the design, engineering and production of custom moulds for the beverage sector, with a particular focus on allowing customers to reduce raw materials usage while ensuring the highest quality and performance standards. A long-standing partner of Omnia Technologies’ Beverage division, Meccanica Italiana’s extensive engineering expertise will enable the group to further expand its customisation capabilities and develop end-to-end solutions.

E4i – As a leading Portuguese distributor of machinery for the beverage sector, E4i already has strong commercial relationships with several of the group’s brands. This acquisition will enhance Omnia Technologies’ presence in Portugal and accelerate its ability to serve its customers throughout the country.

“With these acquisitions, we are strengthening our one-stop shop model, further enhancing the value we deliver to our customers,” said Andrea Stolfa, CEO of Omnia Technologies. “Adding Pharmagel allows us to enter the softgel segment – a fast-growing technology highly synergistic with Omnia Technologies’ Life Sciences division’s current portfolio. By integrating Meccanica Italiana, we aim to reinforce and internalise core strategic capabilities for the Beverage division, while E4i will strengthen our technical and commercial presence in Portugal, a key market for Omnia Technologies’ growth”.

With the contribution of the three newly acquired companies, Omnia Technologies is expected to reach €760 million in consolidated revenues, with 40 production sites, 25 commercial offices and approximately 2,650 employees
