It is particularly indicated for viscous protein concentrates, fermentation broths and other viscous liquids. For difficult streams where viscosity, solids load or fouling tendency can limit conventional filtration performance, dynamic rotary membrane systems offer a strong alternative. Anhigh and consistent final solids concentration could be reach (up to 70-80% v/v). By generating high shear at the membrane surface, these systems can improve filtration stability and make it easier to process challenging products that are hard to handle with standard crossflow solutions.
