Our history
Pharmagel was founded in 1962 in Lodi, bringing innovation to the world of capsules. In 1965, it began producing softgels as a contract manufacturer, obtaining approval from European authorities and the FDA. In the 1970s, it introduced its first in-house engineered rotary encapsulation lines, becoming a global pioneer.
After a phase of expansion and international collaborations, in 1993 the softgel production facilities were sold and in 1998 the company renewed itself with a new plant in Lodi, shifting the focus to new-generation machine design and customer service. In 2013, Pharmagel Technology Srl was founded, consolidating its worldwide leadership in the supply of soft gelatin capsule equipment.
In 2018, Pharmagel moved to its modern headquarters in San Colombano al Lambro, designed to optimize production flows and enhance research and development. Finally, in 2025, it joined Omnia Technologies, an international group that brings together excellence in the field of pharmaceutical and food technologies.
